We are proud to share our recent project at 297 Oak Walk in Oakville, where we transformed an existing office floor into a bright, contemporary space that redefines how people experience their workplace. This renovation highlights the power of thoughtful design to bring new life to an existing building.
A Contemporary Welcome
From the moment you enter, the space feels open, vibrant, and inviting. A continuous line of integrated LED lighting sweeps across angled walls and ceiling planes, naturally guiding movement through the lobby and corridors. This feature doesn’t just illuminate the space—it adds a sense of energy and direction, turning a transitional area into a visually striking experience.
Materials that Inspire
To create a sense of warmth and sophistication, we paired clean white wall planes with warm vertical wood slats. A terrazzo-patterned floor inlay traces the main circulation path, bringing texture and visual interest underfoot.
The central staircase is designed as a focal point—a sculptural combination of black steel, clear glass, and stainless steel—anchoring the space while maintaining a sense of transparency and connection.
Above, wave-form acoustic baffles add depth and movement to the ceiling while improving sound quality. These carefully selected materials and details elevate the everyday experience of moving through the building.
Light, Openness, and Connection
A double-height stair hall beneath a glass skylight brings in abundant natural light, connecting the interior to the sky above. This infusion of daylight creates a welcoming and uplifting atmosphere that transforms what was once a simple passageway into the heart of the space.
Breathing New Life into a Workplace
This renovation at 297 Oak Walk shows how design can transform function into experience. By rethinking lighting, materials, and spatial flow, we created a workplace interior that feels both contemporary and warm—an environment where everyday movement is elevated by architecture.
